Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Friday was Wallingford Senior Center day for me. I rode with the family in the morning, dropped off Travis, and went on to Katelyn's school. The senior center is in the same building!

Gee, looks like my kind of place!

I did yoga with a group of 8 women, four of whom were named Mary! Must be that all those "Marys" with whom I went to grade school have aged.... wonder how that happened?

I worked with a group doing a crossword puzzle, then did other newspaper word games. I helped unpack some new chairs that were delivered and connected with the school upstairs to take the boxes that the chairs came in for the kids to use. I got to watch the aerobics class (I was helping with chairs) and have a delicious lunch. Then I watched people play Mahjong since I don't know how. I met a lot of interesting, fun people! And a cute pair of friendly ducks in the beautiful gardens surrounding the senior center and school too!

Back at home, the tulips have completely popped!

Saturday started with Ultimate Frisbee for Katelyn.

Later, Travis played with his remote control car.

And Katelyn had her birthday party at Vertical World. Lots of strong, fearless 9 year olds!

On Sunday, we all went to Volunteer Park. Travis did parkour with other young ones while Katelyn and I went to the conservatory.

When Travis' class finished, he checked out the conservatory too. It took him about 10 minutes to see every room. He did slow down a little in the desert biome and said he liked the spiky plants.

Lunch at Ivar's Salmon House. Then home to rest. I sure did! A long nap that felt great.

Bainbridge Island

Bainbridge Art Museum and another art gallery on Bainbridge Island had new exhibits, and today was the day to see them before they changed for April. I took the bus to the ferry.

ON TO THE ART!

Yoga, Art, and Frisbee

Today started with yoga near home. Then I hopped the bus to downtown and found some art! These were in a little gallery named Abmeyer + Wood Fine Art.

These are all hand made ceramic and glaze; unbelievably detailed.

Public art is everywhere!

And finally, Frisbee practice after school.

A full, fun day!
