A Family Day

After a slow morning and a yummy breakfast, (Thank you, Karen and Todd!)

we piled in the car and headed to the Bellevue Botanical Gardens. The weather was perfect. The big draw for Katelyn was the suspension bridge over the ravine, so that's where we headed.

Looking down into the ravine.

And there was much more to see

You know who...

I got down on one knee to take this picture.

Check out my little mimic...

He was really into taking pictures. He was good at turning the camera on and off, but not so good at using the right button to take the picture. Surprisingly, there were a couple of actual pictures at day's end.

And here is a picture of Mom taking his picture!

Both kids did a good job of hiking on their own two feet mostly.

Travis was into hand holding. You'll not hear me complaining!

We tried for a good group picture. Well, this was the best of many we shot.

After lunch, home, and nap, Travis and I worked on a puzzle so Katelyn could have some "no little brother" time.

Then the whole gang, including neighbor, Lori, worked on the yard. Travis is quite a danger with a long handled broom!

End of day. Three books, then snuggles, and night-night. Wow! I'm ready even if the kids aren't!
