Today was my first day of Katelyn adventure days. This is my fourth year of Katelyn Spring Break Adventure Days! Check out how she's grown! Just click on the year:
A visit to the Seattle Public Library Central Branch was at the top of Katelyn's list. We quickly made our lunches and walked to the bus stop. Ready for the bus!
We only had to wait for about 5 minutes. So we sang our Waiting-for-the-Bus song:
"Five minutes.
Five minutes.
The bus will come in five minutes.
If we sing and if we dance,
Five minutes will feel fast!
"Four minutes.
Four minutes.
The bus will come in four minutes.
If we sing and if we dance,
Four minutes will feel fast!
"Three minutes..."
Here it comes!
On the way we did bus math. When we got on there was only the driver so 1 plus 2 equals three. Then 4 people got on. Then 2 more. Then 2 got off and 3 more got on. Now we're at 10. At most there were 28 people, and by the time we got off downtown there were 23 people. Certainly keeps your attention and your mind working! Also passes the time quickly.

We picked out three books: one on soccer, one kid's book on city life during the Great Depression, and one cookbook full of delicious desserts. We both kind of dozed on the bus on the way home. A very fun outing!
